Tax Information

Tax bills are prepared by Jefferson County. Upon completion, they are given to the Town Treasurerforassembling and mailing to the property owner, along with a tax letter and a trash & recycling calendar for the next year.Tax bills are normally sent out in December.  

Taxes may be paid by mailinga check to the Town Treasurer, or they may be paid in person on scheduleddays set by the treasurer.  The final date to pay to the treasurer is indicated in the tax letter.  After this date, payment needs to be sent to the County Financial Department in Jefferson.
